The Power of Forgiving Yourself & The Reward of Risk

Life is a gamble. If you don’t believe me, heed the lyrics of The Gambler by Kenny Rogers.

We cannot see how daily actions, thoughts, and habits gradually compound into our current state of affairs. Hindsight is indeed 20/20. We cannot predict everything with a crystal ball, but we can prepare ourselves by realizing that things happen in repeated cyclical waves of ups and downs.

In order to move forward and progress in life, we must take risks, and we must forgive ourselves for our mistakes. Failure is not falling down, but staying down. So, pick yourself up, forgive yourself, and eventually get going again.

What are some things that you must forgive yourself for not knowing, or not doing?

What risks have you been afraid to take, that are not a possible danger to yourself or others?
