3 Big Little Reasons to Laugh More for Your Health

Many wise people have said… “Laughter is the best medicine.”

There are 3 reasons why you should take the time to be more mindful and enjoy a good laugh now and then.

  1. Laughter reduces stress, period. When we laugh, we are engaged in feel good emotions, healthy chemicals in our brain our produced, and we relax.
  2. Laughter makes you live in the moment. When you are laughing, you are in a moment of joy, contentment, peace. You don’t have anything else on your mind, except laughing.
  3. Laughter just feels good, and it is nice to laugh along with others.

Now, provided our moment of good humor is not at the expense or exploitation of someone else, because that would make for bad karma…


Take the time out to stop and smell the roses. Watch a funny comedy, share a joke, or find the humor in everyday ups and downs of life. Remember that life is not always about work, rushing, stress, or negativity. Laughter is here as a gift, to remind us of the beauty and simple moments that we can find wisdom, grace, and some happiness .
