DIY Green Cleaning: Use A Lemon for This?

Lemons are thankfully an inexpensive and plentiful citrus fruit. They have large amounts of Vitamin C, are great for making lemonade or other drinks, and have a light pleasant smell. Did you know you can also clean surfaces in your house with a lemon?

Take a lemon, cut it in half, and place one of the halves to the side. Sprinkle baking soda around your kitchen stove, counters, and bathroom sink and shower/bathtub area. Use your lemon half like a sponge or scrubber, squeezing a little bit of lemon juice out, as you scrub in circular motions. Rinse off the lemon bits, baking soda, and unwanted debris with a rinse of apple cider vinegar diluted with water. Use a 1 to 1 ratio for your apple cider vinegar and water blend. It helps if you make your solution and place it in a spray bottle, for easier use.

All products are relatively inexpensive, cost under $5, and are ECOFRIENDLY cleaning options for your home.

Do you have any other ideas for environmentally friendly cleaning solutions?
