3 Big Reasons You Need Plants in Your Life

Clean Air

Plants are great at filtering your air. Believe it or not, no matter how clean you keep your home or workspace indoor pollution is lurking around. Especially if you cannot afford an air purifier, or it is not feasible to do so, keeping some plants around will help clean your air. Consider keeping ivy, snake plant, and an Easter lily plant as these varieties are known air purifiers. If you have pets, check to make sure the plants you choose will not harm them in case they accidentally chew on them.

Boost Your Productivity

Plants boost your energy, lift your mood, and thus increase your productivity. Studies have shown that if you work in a room with a plant, you are more likely to stay focused on your work. Plants add color and life to a room and are relatively inexpensive to maintain.

Promote Responsibility

Taking care of a plant is one way you can maintain a sense of responsibility for something other than yourself. If you can remember to water your plant at least once a week or whenever it is necessary, you can do so much more! Please don’t overwater your cactus! Maintaining a schedule with your plant makes you slow down and take things into consideration. If you have a busy life or are absentminded, but still want a plant to care for, there is a nifty gadget that reminds you when it needs to be watered!
